Oscars 2016 Will Have Two Hosts: 7 Dream Duos Who'd Be Perfect

It takes two to make a thing go right! As Oscars co-producer David Hill revealed to Entertainment Weekly on Wednesday, Sept. 2, next year’s Academy Awards ceremony will have not one but two hosts. The last time two people emceed the show was in 2011, when James Franco and Anne Hathaway shared the stage — with mostly disastrous results. To avoid a repeat of that year, Us Weekly has compiled a list of suggested pairings. Check out our dream duos below (and add your own in the comments)!

Anna Faris and Chris Pratt

This dynamic duo is one of the most charming couples in Hollywood. They’re totally obsessed with each other — almost as obsessed as we are with them! — and they’re funny, to boot, as they’ve shown time and again on-screen. Also, thanks to Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, Pratt is one of the biggest movie stars in the world right now, so who better to host Hollywood’s biggest night of the year?

Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele

Does this one even require explanation? Anyone who’s seen these two in action on their hit Comedy Central show, Key and Peele, knows they’d kill it on the Oscars stage. And with their Emmy-nominated series ending in September, we’re definitely going to need a fix of their laugh-out-loud comedic chops by February.

Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer

Sure, they’ve only been friends for a few months, but as J.Law herself told the New York Times, they’re “creatively made for each other.” They’re even writing a screenplay together! Plus, they’ve already successfully shared a stage — during Billy Joel’s Chicago concert on Aug. 27, they hopped on top of his piano and danced barefoot to “Uptown Girl.”

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler

These BFFs absolutely slayed at the three most recent Golden Globes ceremonies — and we have no doubt they’d continue their A-plus streak at the Academy Awards. Honestly, they could host everything, every year, and we’d never be sick of them. And who wouldn’t want to see another round of the “Who’d You Rather” game they played at the 2015 Globes?

Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson

Each actor is funny in his own right, but together they’re comedy gold. Exhibits A,B, C, and D: Zoolander, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, and The Royal Tenenbaums. Plus, it’d be great promotion for Zoolander 2, which hits theaters in 2016. Bonus points if they do it in character as Derek Zoolander and Hansel McDonald.

Chelsea Handler and Jennifer Aniston
